January 2, 2016 – Isaiah 25:1

O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them. Isaiah 25:1

Oh, your Name, O Lord, I will honor and praise.  You have done wonderful things!  You planned things and they are accomplished!  You accomplish things in your own time. Sometimes He comes in a tiny whisper and sometimes in a mighty roar.  He is always with us…He never sleeps, He stirs hope in our hearts in the darkest moments we walk through.  He ever turns our hearts to the everlasting joy of salvation. Just as our bodies often ache when out of adjustment, He adjusts our hearts to believe and to know Him. He sent Jesus to wash us clean through his sacrifice of blood.  He sends the Holy Spirit to live within us to teach and guide us!  What can keep us from His Love?That inner self that declares, I know best, I can do it on my own, I don’t need anyone else.  That ego-driven “I” blocks us from recognizing His Power and His Glory.  We become slaves to self and ego.What does the Lord do?  He swallows up death, not occasionally, but forever.  He wipes away all tears of frustration, hopelessness and fear.  Forever gone are the insults and mockery against all that is His.The Lord has Spoken.  We can speak all day, yet at a word from God, He created all that we see each day.

He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The Lord has spoken! Isaiah 25:8
