February 27, 2020 – Psalm 116:5-7
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; our God is merciful. The Lord preserves the simple; when I was brought low, He saved me. Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. Psalm 116:5-7.
Our Lord cares for us and He understands us. Our God is able to forgive us. It is when we are willing to please Him and learn His way, we will learn to be like Him. Then we are teachable.
God’s teaching creates joy in living in His World. We are drawn to someone who is gentle, kind, and loves. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us. I John 4:18-19.
When we pretend to love, it is obvious, even to a child. In God, there is no pretentiousness in Him. And He hates evil.
How can we learn to know God? “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Psalm 46:10-11.
These verses describe how God cares for us. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3.
As you wake each day, read from God’s Word. Hold tightly to The One walks with you and delivers your soul from death. He is Able!
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling; I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 116:8-9.
