Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD. Psalm 89:15We use alarms to awaken us or remind us to the happenings in our lives. Years ago I attended a Ladies’ Retreat on Prayer. It was a call to worship. One of our activities we participated in, was to take a walk in the beautiful setting of hills, a small river and towering trees. During this walk, we were to bring back a stick, a rock or anything that reminds us of how great God is. We searched, and saw creation become Bible verses — reminders of who God is. When we returned from our walk, we shared our ‘finds’. That small activity became a lifetime pursuit of recognizing God in acts of love, the vividness of creation, the bodies of water – living water, or stones –Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Matthew 7:9.Through Jesus Christ, we are able to ask God for requests in the name of Jesus. There is no middle man on earth – but through Jesus – it is One-on-One Love which becomes Trust and Worship and Glory to the One and Only. The AND is the one and only way to true well-being…that turns into worship. and you will have abundant joy. Not just a once in a while joy, but abundant joy. A cup of joy that overflows day after day – Joy.At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. John 16:23-24
