Habakkuk3-19Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. Habakkuk 3:17 -19On this Lord’s Day, I admit it!  The truth behind Joy is I AM.  The heights lie just ahead, no way can I climb the mountains of life in my own strength.  Disappointments, disillusions and despair drag me away from the I AM.  They blind me to the Presence of the I AM and then I am truly alone.Moses understood this message on the beginning of the 40 year journey in the wilderness with disgruntled Israelites.  The Children of Israel counted their freedom from slavery in Egypt as nothing.  Their leader sent from the I AM did not please them.  They needed everything except the I AM that gave them life.As we travel through this world, this brief life, do we search for the things we think will give us joy?  Do we miss the Great I AM who provides abundantly more than we can ask?  When the Promised Land is our goal in Life, and dependence on the I AM is the only way we can even glimpse the Promised Land.  We search for His Presence, His Will, and learn to trust the Only I AM daily. He who has ears, listen.  Hear the Author of Salvation who provides daily bread and overflowing abundance of joy each day.  Great are you, Lord, and greatly to be praised….We bow down to the great I AM.God replied to Moses, “I AM who I AM. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.” Exodus 3:14
