December 5, 2019 – Ephesians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. Ephesians 1:3-4.

We praise God mightily, for He blesses us with every spiritual blessing.  Jesus, the Son, redeems us, and the Holy Spirit seals us to the One who chose us to be in a relationship with Him.

Our God desires we live holy lives, free from sin, and blameless.  In this way we learn to love others as He loves us.  Jesus  gathered people to Him. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. John 6:35.  There are many things we wish for more than anything in this world.

Once, I wanted blue ear muffs. The other girls had them. I begged my parents for blue earmuffs.  After a year later, my parents gave me blue earmuffs and no one else wore them any more. I learned wishing for something everyone else has, is not of lasting value.  Truly, desiring to live a holy life will satisfy much more, than the things of the world. Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:14.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”  Matthew 5:6. Oh, How I Love Jesus, because He first loved me!   Yes, we are chosen to be adopted through Jesus Christ!

In love, He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:5-6.
