December 5, 2016 – Romans 5:10
For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. Romans 5:10How big is the heart of God? His love fills the universe, his forgiveness is unending. His friendship envelopes each of us. He continually sends the message to us, “Come, Come, Come!”We have the freedom of choice…do we choose His Friendship? Do we accept His Love and Forgiveness? Is our life filled with joy and hope? Or is it filled with the desire to escape ‘what is’?This Christmas Season can mean ‘Cha-Ching’ or it can be His friendship and freedom the Son of God gave us when He died on the cross, and rose again. Mary did you know? Do you know?Praying God’s Word renews our friendship with God and our heart will swell with worship and praise for the greatest gift ever given! The gift of Jesus is wrapped in Peace and Joy, and tied with the bow of Hope. Praying Psalm 23 takes on new meaning as they take root in our hearts. The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24.
