Psalm37-5aTrust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. Psalm 37:3-5I love the verbs in these few verses…trust…do good…live safely…take delight…commit and trust Him.  That is it.  Those are the verbs to live by.  As the sands in the Hour Glass of 2015 sift down in Time, I wonder what God has for 2015.Never, as I wrote 1935, 1936, 1937, think there would ever be a 2015, much less a 2000.  Yet, God has allowed there are more days.  As my Hour Glass sifts to the sunset time of my life, I wonder when He will call me home.  Did my father wonder in 1979 and my mother in 1998?I so often think of how Dad and Mom spent the night before entering the hospital the next day for the last time.  They talked all night.  My Dad knew his time was near, and said, “When Jesus comes for us, look to the East, and you will see me flying to meet Jesus in the air.”That is anticipation, that is believing in Jesus, that is living intentionally.  John 14 always gives me hope.  In the first four verses, there is the promise…I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am there you may be also…  There is more — He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”  Revelation 21:4And in this time we have on earth, walk in his light.  Trust in His light.  In Jesus, we become children of light!  The switch is in our hand — we make the decision.  Yes, we walk in His Light, or we stumble under the weight of sin and darkness.  It is a choice.  Make 2015 a Year of Light!Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going. Put your trust in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light.” John 12:35-36
