December 20, 2019 – Psalm 105:1-3

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Psalm 105:1-3.

Is there ever an end to giving thanks or singing praise to our Lord?  The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23.

The air we breathe, the seasons, the dawning of a new day, our daily bread, each flower that blooms, each harvest that ripens, are all His Works.  He sent His Son Jesus to forgive us our sins by the sacrifice through death on the cross, and then raised Him from the dead. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.

He gives us purpose in life when we remember the works, the miracles, and the judgments He has done. His covenant lasts for a thousand generations.  Our God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.

As we celebrate Christmas, let us ponder the wonder of the birth of Jesus Christ, This Gospel Gift like no other, teaches us to love one another, even as Jesus loves each and died for us.

For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God.  Teach me Your way, O Lordthat I may walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name.  Psalm 86:10-11.

Remember the wondrous works that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered. He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, the word that He commanded, for a thousand generations. Psalm 105:4-5, 7-8.
