“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”     Zephaniah 3:17This verse in Zephaniah calms my fears and anxieties.  I can feel the tension leave my mind and body.  I am not alone.  The Lord my God is living here with me.  He is my Savior.  He delights in me, not because He has to, but because He loves me.When fears about what is next clutter my mind, He calms me.  I hear the love songs filled with joy that He sings over me.  Though I know that it is a dark road I must travel through, I know He is beside me.  And I quiver the anticipation of knowing one day I will see Him face to face.  He who knows my inmost heart and soul delights in me.David knew, he was rescued by the Lord from his sinful nature again and again.  He wrote Psalm after Psalm of songs to the Lord.  He sang because God was good to him.  How can I do any less?  I sing because He is good to me!!!  And God sings over me, His songs of Joy.I remember the song I sang over and over when I was younger  It seemed that it set my heart free each time I sang this song. “I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free, For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srRoM_RdgWw)Dearest Lord Jesus, I trust you, I believe in you, I know your love is worthy, you went to the cross because you love.  I am so thankful for your unfailing love.  I give you my life and my heart because I love you.  I rejoice, I sing your praise from the depths of my being.  You make my heart free to love others… In Jesus Name, Amen.But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me. Psalm 13:5-6
