December 11, 2017 – Luke 2:10-12

Luke 2:10-12 – but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”

A momentous announcement from Heaven!  What a birth announcement filled the air that night over two thousand years ago and continues to be Good News for those who recognize this Savior, this Messiah, the Lord.

Not believing is not a choice!   This messenger, from God Himself, came to give us love, peace and joy in the form of a human.  He left Heaven to descend to earth, to die on the cross for you and me.  He descended to ascend again – Jesus Christ is Lord. He came to earth as a servant.  Yes, Jesus lives! He lives in the hearts of those who confess His name.

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.  Romans 10:9-10.

When our hearts are right with God, He is pleased.  Romans 10:13 – For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

It is then we praise God and shout – “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth…”   Only through Jesus, will we find peace, and be united, In Jesus’ Name!

Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:13-14.
