August 9, 2018 – Romans 15:13-14
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. I am fully convinced, my dear brothers and sisters, that you are full of goodness. You know these things so well you can teach each other all about them. Romans 15:13-14.
This morning as you awakened, what was your first thought? Did you pray that God will fill you with Hope? God’s Hope contains joy and peace because we can trust in Him. What is the conduit of this Hope? It travels through the power of the Holy Spirit when we believe Jesus is the Son of God and our Savior.
When we see others as Jesus sees us, we can see they are filled with God’s goodness. When our faith in Jesus helps us to see others as children of God we become His messengers like the Apostle Paul. He focused on letting God work through him. He responded enthusiastically.
What is your prayer? What is your heart’s desire? Ephesians 1:18-19 is my prayer. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given to those He called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him.
I am a special messenger from Christ Jesus to you Gentiles. I bring you the Good News so that I might present you as an acceptable offering to God, made holy by the Holy Spirit. So I have reason to be enthusiastic about all Christ Jesus has done through me in my service to God. Romans 15:16-17.
