August 22, 2018 – Psalm 118:
Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” Let all who fear the Lord repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 118:3-4.
Everywhere I look this morning, I see evidence of your great love. The Heavens proclaim your glory and the skies display the wonders of your creation.
Your Word revives my soul and gives me the Song to sing of Thanksgiving and Joy.
Just as your Glory is repeated in the lofty mountains, the splendor of fields awaiting harvest, and flowers that sing their song in color, these words are repeated five times in this one chapter. “His faithful love endures forever.”
The Lord is my strength and my song; He has given me victory. Psalm 118:14. Men strive for victory in this world in things that will not endure. Give us, the wisdom to discern between a forever victory and one which will soon dissipate like vapor in this world.
This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Please, Lord, please save us. Please, Lord, please give us success. Psalm 118:24-25. My prayer today and every day – Help me to know your love and your victory in this life, one day at a time. One moment at a time, guide me and teach me to be Your child and to know You. Help me to sing songs of joy and victory in praise of You, Who gives me life everlasting. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
