August 20, 2019 – Ephesians 2:4-7

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7.

Yes, Yes, Yes! We are Alive in Christ!  When we choose Jesus, we choose Life.  The mountain of sin burying us disappears.  Jesus gives us Hope and He is why we Rejoice.  Who is this Jesus?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,  even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love  He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:3-5a.

He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,  far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.  And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as Head over all things to the church. Ephesians 1:20-22.

Jesus is our Gift of Grace. We are created for good works God prepared, for He is our Way.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10.
