April 9, 2019 – Exodus 14:15-16
And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Exodus 14:15-16.
Each day God tells us to ‘Go Forward’ with Him. Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6.
The Egyptian soldiers rode six hundred chariots in pursuit of the Israelites when Pharaoh’s heart was hardened. Can you hear the rumble of chariot wheels, as Pharaoh led his soldiers after the God’s People? What a frightening display of might pursued the Israelites! Where could they hide?
Psalms 27:5, For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble;
He will conceal me under the cover of his tent; He will lift me high upon a rock. The Israelites saw the power of God this day and knew God.
Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your might among the peoples. Psalm 77:14-15. Psalm 20:7 – Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. Let this be our prayer.
“And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen. Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.” Exodus 14:17-18.
