April 3, 2017 – Psalm 92:1-2
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most H
igh. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92:1-2
A song from the past visited me as I read and re=read these verses — Oh, What a beautiful morning, Oh, what a beautiful day! I’ve got a beautiful feeling….Everything’s coming up, God’s Way! Exchanging ‘my’ for God’s Way makes it perfect!
In the morning, I proclaim your name and fill my senses with awakening love and I sing for joy. I hear the birds singing your praise, I see the earth turning a riot of Spring colors that dazzle my soul. I taste the fruit of the earth from your Hands.
It’s no wonder that I sing your praise! No wonder my heart leaps for joy at all you have done. At the close of day, I recount the joys you heap on me! It is then I know you are faithful! How great Thou art!
And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations. Revelation 15:3
Morning and Evening, and in between, I give thanks for You and your greatness. How can I stop singing your praises? For this I know….Grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ—the Son of the Father—will continue to be with us who live in truth and love. 2 John 1:3
You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done. O Lord, what great works you do! And how deep are your thoughts. Psalm 92:4-5
