April 27, 2020 – Revelation 3:19-20
“Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:19-20.
Yes we have trouble in the world, yet we have assurance from God’s Son. “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.
As a young girl, a visitor coming meant cleaning house. I tried to see my parents’ home as Jesus would see it. Now I look at my heart and know I am unworthy, yet, I know Jesus loves and forgives those who obey His Commandments. I will not keep Him waiting. I invite Him in and we will do life together.
Through Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and Life, I come to the Father God. (John 14:6) Help me to Hear You, Jesus, and to listen and obey You. Your Word is more than an option, it is a command. In loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind, transforms us. This means loving others, too, as His Created beings, He loves.
For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God. Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. I give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your Name forever. Psalm 86:10-12.
“The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3:21-22.
