June 7, 2021 – 2 Corinthians 5:1-3

For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on, we may not be found naked.  2 Corinthians 5:1-3.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that He cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11. When we leave this earth we have the assurance, if we believe God’s Word, we have a house not made with human hands.

Nothing is beyond the power of God. His Word is supreme. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:3.  Then God sent His Son Jesus and testified Jesus is His Son.

O Father, God, may Your Name be glorified by my actions and words. I choose to please only You.  In the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,  for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4.

The steps of a man are established by the Lordwhen he delights in His way. Psalm 37:23

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord,  for we walk by faith, not by sight.  Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.  So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please Him.  2 Corinthians 5:6-9.
