January 27, 2021 – Psalm 4:1, 3
Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have given me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer! But know that the Lord has set apart the godly for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him. Psalm 4:1, 3.
Who do I go to when I am in distress? Who will hear me and give me relief? It is the God of Righteousness. The Lord God sets apart those who follow Him and answers their prayers.
What a blessing and a joy to know going to Him in prayer, He hears my voice and delivers me from evil.
Mother and I sat beside my Dad in the hospital one evening. Mother arose, and said she would get rest at home. I asked how she could leave Dad? She quoted the last verse, “In peace, I will both lie down and sleep….”
Dear God of Righteousness, hear my prayers when I am distressed. Quiet my soul, and flood my soul with the Joy of the Lord, and His Peace for I trust only You, I pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
We are His twice. He created us, and when we obey Him, we are adopted into His Kingdom. It is FOR Him, we exist with every breath we breathe. Yet for us there is One God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. I Corinthians 8:6.
There are many who say, “Who will show us some good? Lift up the light of your face upon us, O Lord!” You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:6-8.
