November 11, 2020 – Psalm 71:14-16
But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more. My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. With the mighty deeds of the Lord God, I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. Psalm 71:14-16.
One day I watched the sparrows happily chittering and feeding. I remembered the verse, Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:31. Hope and Love for our Lord filled my soul. I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free! For His Eye is on the Sparrow, and I know He cares for me, sang in my heart.
In countless ways we are reminded of how our God loves us. Not only did God create Light, the Earth, He created you and me. He gave us His Word. One of my favorite chapters is Hebrews Eleven, The Roll Call of Faithful men who trusted and obeyed God. Each story spells out the awesome relationship He gives us. The first verse I learned is God is Love. The greatest Love Story is how God loves us.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
Dear Lord God, each day open my eyes and my heart anew to the wonders of Your Love with each breath I take. I pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
O God, from my youth You have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like You? Psalm 71:17-19.
