This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.   Colossians 1:26-27The ads that flood the house talk describe the plethora of goods that are for sale to enrich our lives.  These ‘have to have’ possessions imprison us to the world.  They spell convenience, comfort and complexity of ownership. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and  possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.  I John 2:16“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal.Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.  Matthew 6:19-20The fruit of the Spirit is the Heavenly Riches I desire…for these help me to dwell on the Eternal Riches that enrich our lives here on earth and on the life after this temporal, fleeting life. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
