February 3, 2017 – John 14:11-12
Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:11-12
I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God…yes, I believe from the core of my heart!
When I was a child, I pondered over the lyrics of a hymn — Love sent my Savior to die in my stead; Why should He love me so? Meekly to Calvary’s cross, He was led; Why should He love me so? Why should my Savior to Calvary go? Why should he love me so? These lyrics still cause me to ponder when I realize my true state of sinfulness and realize Jesus died for me.
When we believe, truly believe, we bring glory to the name of Jesus. He becomes our way, our truth, our life and makes it worth living.Believing Jesus can be powerful…For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20.
We can ask Jesus for anything, if we believe, we will receive. Why? So that Jesus, the Son, can bring glory to His Father. Just as we bring a good report card to our Dad to bring glory to him, our prayers will glorify our Lord. Power is in Jesus’ Name…and ever will be… throughout eternity.
You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! John 14:13-14
