September 5, 2016 – Psalm 25:9-10

He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands. Psalm 25:9-10Are you a control person…?  Someone who wants their way?  The Lord leads the humble — teaching His Way.  This may come as a shock, but there are different ways, than the only way we see.  This humility within us comes when fix our mind on Jesus and follow Him in a loving relationship.  He leads the way with unfailing love.As a teacher, I learned that rules to live-by chooses up sides.  Somehow, when a ‘have-to’ rule of behavior is laid down, the human spirit rises up in rebellion.  One year, I told my class, I would love them all, even if it were just their eyelashes.  That was a peaceful year in terms of discipline in my 6th grade classroom.  This is what God does, He chose us, He loves us, and He wants us to live with him.Our preparation period is this life. Do we love like the Lord does.  Do we do it for selfish gain, or some underlying motive?  Are we committed no matter what, to living holy lives?  It’s in the living… that is the testing of our commitment.  It is how we respond to life, the hardships, the pain, the hurts, that make the difference.  Today I heard three ways to commit:  Choose Joy, Live Audaciously (Boldly), and Trust God.  I know God’s love will never fail and His Word is my Guide.Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…James 1:2Put me on trial, Lord, and cross-examine me. Test my motives and my heart. For I am always aware of your unfailing love, and I have lived according to your truth. Psalm 26:2-3
