August 31, 2016 – Isaiah 63:7

Isaiah63-7I will tell of the Lord’s unfailing love. I will praise the Lord for all he has done. I will rejoice in his great goodness to Israel, which he has granted according to his mercy and love. Isaiah 63:7Deliverance.  What is it?  Deliverance from what, to what?  When we live oblivious to what is, we are not aware of the constant need to be freed from the world around us.  A judgement is coming, Jesus is coming.  Will we be ready?  Only the Lord has power to deliver, to save us from what is coming.  Verses 3-6 before verse seven above, tells how God protects his people.  Verse 6 is most telling –I crushed the nations in my anger and made them stagger and fall to the ground, spilling their blood upon the earth.God made a way to forgive us our wickedness….He sent his Son Jesus.  One little girl, asked what would happen if someone was mean to her sister at school, replied?  “I would end them.”  God protects his Children.  Jesus has made a way for us to become His forgiven Children, Jesus is the bridge to call God our Father. Will we betray God by forgetting Him when what we desire or think becomes more important than the One Who created all we see and all we are?  Do we live a tantrum-filled life of anger?  Do we shake our fist at God for the consequences of our own choices?   Where then, is love, joy and peace? All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.  Ephesians 1:3-4

He said, “They are my very own people. Surely they will not betray me again.” And he became their Savior. Isaiah 63:8
