August 31, 2020 – Psalm 19:7-9

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. Psalm 19:7-9.

Goodness, as far as the eye can see. Righteousness belongs to the Lord.  Reading His Word daily brings us ever closer to the glory of His salvation.  His Works combined with His Words reveal our Lord God.

Have you ever tried to count the stars at night?  Have you ever watched the snow fall, and realize they come from God’s Store House?  Have you ever desired a second helping?  Or pondered over the meaning of abundance? The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10.

What can be more desired than to find gold?  Or please the taste buds more than the finest food?

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  Philippians 4:7-8.

Oh, Lord, God of all, truly allow my words and thoughts please You, who are Holy. Cleanse me from every sin, and set me free to do Your Will.   In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19:10, 14.
