May 4, 2020 – Psalm 100:1-3

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing! Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:1-3.

Whenever sadness threatens to come my way, I remember The Lord God made me. I belong to Him. I am not my own. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.  So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.  Matthew 10:31-32.

Serve the Lord with Gladness.  No complaints or dread, for God has a purpose for our lives. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23.

We are on this earth for small span of time and yet God’s faithfulness and love continues for many generations. The way we serve God in love today is a gift to all generations who come after.

Civilla D. Martin wrote a timeless song, containing lyrics that bring hope and joy. I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free. For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watch over me.

Psalm 100 is a prelude to worshiping our Lord with thanksgiving and praise.  God’s love provides life for an eternity through Jesus Christ.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. John 10:10-11.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5.
