March 20, 2020 – 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring. 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4.

What is it that gives us strength during tribulation and hardship?  We remember the words of Jesus in John 16:32-33. Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  Yes, We follow the one who calmed the sea and overcame death. He rose victorious over death.

When we see someone who finds victory and fulfillment in living by Faith in our Lord we are Encouraged.  we are witnessing someone who glorifies our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wait for the Lord and keep His way, and He will exalt you to inherit the land.  Psalm 37:34a. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Psalm 34:8.

May grace and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus the Anointed be with you. 2 Thessalonians 1:2

To this end, we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of His calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by His power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 11-12.
