We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. Colossians 1:11-12What is it that you can do for others? This scripture, just two verses, give us our answer. Pray. But I don’t know them very well, and I want to make a difference in their lives. There is a way, pray. This isn’t rote prayer, a written prayer, but a ‘from your heart’ prayer. Pray for their strength in Jesus. Pray for their endurance and patience in whatever your friend, or enemy, is going through. Our Father in Heaven – just knowing He is – is cause to thank Him. In thanking Him, we find the greatest joy and peace we will ever know on earth. As soon as we know and believe in Jesus , our sins washed away…we begin receiving our inheritance of a life of joy and peace. When we are united in Christ, we are truly united with Him and those who truly believe. And the inheritance is ours. For His Will becomes our will, His Way becomes our way, His Truth becomes our truth. When we surrender to Him, we truly are His.Down through the ages, no matter the plans man has made, He makes everything work out according to His plan. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. Ephesians 1:11
