February 24, 2016 – Jude 1:20-21
But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love. Jude 1:20-21God created Eve for Adam, for no one can do faith alone. Jesus founded the Church, as we all need encouragement and strength from those in the Church family.Waiting is a difficult job, whether we wait in the doctor’s office, at a red light, or wait for the mercy of Jesus Christ who will bring us eternal life in the presence of God. Praying with others makes our faith grow.Praying for others makes our love and peace grow into Thanksgiving. Praising God with thanksgiving is giving all glory to God, the One who keeps us from falling away from Him.We are drawn to so many things on this earth…things that ultimately do not satisfy. The things that make us ask, is this all there is? When we ask ourselves that question, it is God who pursues us and wants us to come back to Him. He brings us back with great joy. Through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice of love and this time of learning and teaching, we become truly His. Becoming a child through Jesus means when it is time, we come into His presence pure, without a single fault.Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. 2 Corinthians 4:13-14
