January 1, 2020 – Psalm 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Psalm 46:1-3.
The first day of 2020, dawned as a clear day, filled with joy. How blessed we are to know in the Lord God we have the assurance of refuge and help in the time of trouble. He is our strength at all times.
Even during the times our world is shaken, we can trust Him! Knowing God, is to exalt Him for His Goodness. He fights for His own people because of His great Love. He bids us to gather to gather and worship Him for He is Worthy. He sent His Son, the Light of the World, to save us from evil.
In some parts of the world God is not known. Church is not known, there is simply darkness with no trust in God. There is no Peace, Joy, or Love.
To know God is to hunger and thirst after righteousness, goodness and loving others. To know God is to know, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3.
Come, behold the works of the Lord, how He has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:8-10.
