January 18, 2016 – Romans 8:38-39

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:38-39As we think on life, death and what is next, we often wonder, how could Jesus love me?  Really, can nothing separate us from the love of God revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord?  When I read these words from God’s Word, I, too, am convinced that NOTHING can separate us from God when I choose to believe.  During the past few weeks, when things seem undone, I say to myself.  This is God’s will, this is His Plan for my life.  I am comforted as I trust Him.The mysteries of God’s Love and the Holy Spirit living within us is something we don’t understand or need to understand.  We simply choose to believe and trust Him who is ABLE to create the universe, create us, and gives us the choice to believe or not.Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.  Yesterday, I heard a true quote – “Life change is a moment by moment surrender of everything — for His Everything!”The very next sentence tells us, our way will not be easy, for to share his glory, we must share his suffering.  And for this, together with Christ, we are heirs of God’s Glory!  Praise the Lord.For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Romans 8:16-17
