December 4, 2019 – Psalm 139:17-18

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with You. Psalm 139:17-18.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Jeremiah 29:11.  When were these thoughts and plans made? Before the foundation of the world.  His plans contain purpose and His way in our lives.

Not only did God plan Creation and Man, He put his plans into action.  He arranges events, places, and people to carry out what He planned before the beginning of the world. It is no happen-chance, we live where we live, or meet who we meet.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,  even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love  He predestined us for adoption to Himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will. Ephesians 1:3-5.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:8.  We expend hours trying to make sure our plans work.  Unless our plans are God’s will, we fail. God’s Plans stand for all generations.  Being a servant to God the Father begins our joy in living!

The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lordthe people whom He has chosen as His heritage!  Psalm 33:11-12.

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting! Psalm 139:23-24.
