October 30, 2019 – Psalm 24:3-5
Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. Psalm 24:3-4.
Oh, how we gaze upon the hills, and desire to own a small part of this earth. The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. He founded the earth on the seas and the rivers.
Can we ascend to the mountain of the Lord? Are our hands are hearts pure, without worshiping idols or telling lies? We can have a relationship with God and receive His blessings. Seek the presence of our Lord and King.
How often we desire to know, Who is this God of Glory? Just as the Israelites learned in the wilderness, fleeing from Egypt, The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. Exodus 14:14.
Our King of Glory is strong. He patiently waits for us to come to Him. He knows the depths of our heart and all our secrets. He knows our name. Nothing is hidden from Him. Our Lord God is always present for each of us.
This Lord, strong and mighty, sent Jesus, His Son, to teach us. In Matthew 28:19-20, He gives us this Word: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Who is God? He is the King of Glory!
Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Psalm 24:8-9
