August 9, 2019 – Revelation 22:5-6

And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever. And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.” Revelation 22:5-6.

Last night, as darkness fell. I thought about Heaven, where there is no darkness.  Even as  our Lord God created the Heavens and Earth, He knew His people’s desire for light. 

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.  I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live. Ecclesiastes 3:11-12.  

We long to acquire new, beautiful things, And He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  Revelation 21:5-6.  

Worship God! – is our  eternal purpose. “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!  Revelation 22:20b.

“And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” Revelation 22:7-9
