May 28, 2019 – Philippians 4:4-6
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again, rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Philippians 4:4-6.
What brings joy into our hearts? What makes us smile and find joy each day? This Joy comes because we are loved and forgiven by our Unchangeable and faithful God.
Joy doesn’t come when we buy something new. The love-shine in our eyes comes from being considerate and thanking the One Who made us. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14.
Creases of heart-worry about what is, is not of God. Don’t worry about anything. Center your heart on God’s peace and His joy comes riding into our lives at full gallop. The last sentence below gives us hope for each day. His Peace guards our hearts and minds as we live in Christ Jesus. God’s Son, was sent to bring us peace, the third fruit of the Spirit for living in Jesus.
The first fruit of the Spirit is Love, the second is Joy, and the third is Peace. When we love like Jesus, we know His Joy. Love plus Joy brings us His Peace. (Galatians 5:22-23).
Placing our minds and our hearts into the Hands of Jesus is a discipline we learn through tears. We choose to find Joy by loving others. We choose to find peace and live in His Victory, not pitiful victim-hood.
Rejoice, and again I say, Rejoice!
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7.
