August 14, 2015 – 1 Peter 1:7-9

IPeter1-7-9These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls. I Peter 1:7-9Complaining, impatience and anger are signs of the absence of Faith in God.  In the sphere of Faith is Love, Forgiveness, Trust and Inexpressible Joy.Each of us who allow ourselves to be humbled, are filled with love and grace of God that leads to fresh joy in the Lord each morning.  The Scriptures beckon us to love others more than ourselves and place the Lord as King of our lives. It is intriguing how we can love God, the Holy One whom we cannot see, and in doing so, we know Him through Jesus Christ, His Only Son.  Jesus, who is our Way, Life and Truth. Our reward is Living and Serving God the Father for an eternity — our salvation from the ugly in the world and the sins that threaten us daily.  Fresh joy from the Lord!So for each pain, each struggle, each trouble on the earth, is a reminder that God loves us and is refining us like precious gold to be His eternally. The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the Lord. The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. The scoffer will be gone, the arrogant will disappear, and those who plot evil will be killed. Isaiah 29:19-20
