December 31, 2018 – Titus 2:11-13
For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. Titus 2:11-13.
We just celebrated God’s gift of Grace, bringing salvation to all people. Do we realize the extent of His Gift, given through sacrifice? Do we understand no power can separate us from the love of God?
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His One and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him. John 3:16-17
The question among friends after Christmas is, “How was your Christmas?” or “What did you get for Christmas?” or “How did you celebrate Christmas?”
Our answers usually center around the family members who gathered, where we ate, the gifts we received, and who won the ball game we watched. God stands by and loves us as we learn how to live in this evil world with His wisdom, and with righteousness.
What do I consider the greatest gift of all? The HOPE we look forward to…when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ will be revealed! There is no greater love and no greater gift than the Christ Child, born to die for our sins. Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. Psalm 90:14.
He gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to us His very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. Titus 2:14.
