November 27, 2018 – Psalm 119:55-58

I reflect at night on who you are, O Lord; therefore, I obey your instructions. This is how I spend my life: obeying your commandments.  Lord, You are mine!  I promise to obey your words! With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised. Psalm 119:55-58.

In the hush of the night, I reflect on day, and count the blessings and joys You bring me.  I think about You as You hold my heart.  Your words are my lullaby to ponder as I sleep.

I pray, Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  Point out anything in me that offends you,
and lead me along the path of everlasting life.  Psalm 139:23-24.

But Lord, be merciful to us, for we have waited for you. Be our strong arm each day and our salvation in times of trouble.  Isaiah 33:2.

He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them His way. The Lord leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep His covenant and obey His demands.  Psalm 25:9-10.

Give me an eagerness for Your laws rather than a love for money! Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through Your word. Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear You.  Psalm 119:37-38.  Lead me by your truth and teach me, for You are the God who saves me.  All day long I put my hope in You.  Psalm 25:5.

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.  Psalm 4:6. Now I can close my eyes for I know – Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws. I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands. Psalm 119:59-60.
