June 11, 2015 – Psalm 90:1-2

Lord, through all the generations you have been our home!  Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God.  Psalm 90:1-2Before we were, You were.  You are God, the Creator of the Universe.  Nothing is made that You did not create from Nothingness.Furthermore, Jesus, God’s One and Only Son was there at the beginning: He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.  John 1:2-4All around us is the handiwork of God, from mighty mountains to spacious seas to the lady bug, the songs of the birds and the design of a myriad flowers in the field.  The very air that we breathe comes from the work of the Lord God and Lord Jesus.  The same Jesus who walked on this earth, conquered death by rising again.  He calmed the sea, healed the lame and the blind.Can we hear our Lord, even as the people in Jeremiah’s Day?  Our Lord God pleads with us to return to Him.  Are our eyes so blind and our ears so filled with the world that we cannot hear?  Is our answer to God, Wait, I’m not ready; I can’t see you, therefore I don’t understand;  I don’t see the way back.What’s in it for me?  Unmatched Joy and Peace.  A singing in the heart that doesn’t go away.  A knowing that our Salvation is sure, that there is a Love that gives Life everlasting and forever with our Lord.  The ‘how’ and ‘why’ and ‘when’ is in the capable, forever hands of our Lord.“My wayward children,” says the Lord, “come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts.”  Yes, we’re coming,” the people reply, “for you are the Lord our God.
