April 5, 2015 – Proverbs 8:35
“Those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 8:35What is the most precious thing on earth? Life. We hang on to life despite pain, anger, ill health, poverty and loss. Yet, as we cling to life — we sleep as if we are dead. Without Jesus Christ as the focal part of our life, we have already died. We live in darkness, for Jesus Christ is light — to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, we are filled with all the fullness of God and we have life abundantly. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:19-21This is a lifetime guarantee…and moves from generation to generation. It is a life of the beginning of life with Jesus, here on earth. This life in Jesus doesn’t control us — this life in Jesus frees us. It gives us the amazing joy, peace, and the other attributes of a life with Jesus — patience, goodness, gentleness faithfulness and self-control. Let these words become a way of life and pray this fruit of the spirit when you are threatened with anger, heedless words, chaos, impatience, evil and feeling lost.Do you remember when waking up and you felt eager to see the day? You were ready to meet challenges with an expectant heart, before life seemed a treadmill to nowhere? With Jesus Christ leading us and guiding us – waking up becomes like waking up every day, on Christmas Morning — expectantly. Every day with Jesus is a new adventure of learning. Wake up each day, knowing Jesus Christ’s love and light shining on your soul. Let praise fill your heart and know Jesus, the One and Only to whom you belong!“This is why it is said: ‘Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.’” Ephesians 5:14
