April 25, 2015 – Revelation 19:1

Revelation19-1After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God!” Revelation 19:1Recognition of Who God is, is a beginning.  He is the one and only God.  He is the Creator of all things, including you and me.  He is Love and sent His Son to give us the opportunity to choose and serve Him. He is my Shepherd – He leads us and guides us.So often, my dear husband, in the throes of Dementia, wants to go home.  He said he wanted to go home today, no exception, that he couldn’t do anything here.  He doesn’t realize why he is so frustrated.  His longing for home is a mirror of the waiting soul who is longing for our Heavenly Home.  The yearning for peace and joy without end is embedded deep in our hearts.  We want that moment when our hands are lifted in praise — singing, Hallelujah!  All nature is groaning for God’s time of glory.  Every knee shall bow in humility, just as the Bible says. (Romans 14:11)One of my favorite scriptures of how God works:  He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.  Ecclesiastes 3:11  Eternity in our hearts speaks to us with longing for God, for salvation, for the right to shout, “Hallelujah!” in Heaven.Beauty does not come from a bottle, but from following our Lord God to the Home He has built for us.  He adorns us with the most attractive jewel of all — Love.  Love for God and for all others.  There is no room in God-Love for hate, envy, anger, malice, judgement, chaos, hateful words or deeds.  God-Love is unconditional.Following Jesus and His Way will loosen our praises and we say, “Amen.  Hallelujah.  Praise our Lord God!”And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!” And from the throne came a voice saying, “Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great.” Revelation 19:4-5
