February 26, 2018 – Psalm 84:1-2
How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies. I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God. Psalm 84:1-2.
Nothing can ever be as real as God’s dwelling place, in the courts of our Lord. No matter how many times we try to envision the beauty we will see in Heaven! The reality will give us unending joy. The longer I live, the more I long to be where there are no tears, sadness, or separation in His Presence.
One song, by Mercy Me, stirs my heart, I can only imagine what it will be like. When I walk, by your side I can only imagine – what my eyes will see,
When you face is before me, I can only imagine.
God has provided a home for us with Him. Why is this important? He loves us, and makes a place for us. “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.“ John 14:1-3
So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Matthew 10:31. What Joy it is to belong to Jesus and sing His Praises! “Praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.”
Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God! What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. Psalm 84:3-4
