Hebrews4-12For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12A sword is sharp, it cuts, it is dangerous.  And this sword, the Word of God, is so sharp it cuts between two parts of the body we cannot see.  It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.  Sometimes it exposes what we ourselves are not aware of — the thoughts that we hide.Have you ever longed for something that you were not able to possess.  This goes deeper than winning any sweepstakes.  It is an unfulfilled dream.  A vague goal that seems impossible to achieve.  An unvoiced desire that is hidden deep.  That is what God’s Word brings to the surface. How is this possible?  Ephesians 3:20 gives us the answer — God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us — to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  Oh, Glory to God.  This is a forever Glory that never dims or becomes used up.  Have you ever wondered how some things are so easy to do, something amazingly impossible?  And we know Who it is!  It is God who does, gives and loves more than we can ever know. The God who can cleanse our hearts, forgive us our sins, love us.  He loves you and me with a love surpassing any weak meaningful love that we can ever give.  The verse from Psalm 46:10 says — Be still and know that I am God.  We cannot fathom the depth, the breadth or the height or width of this God of ours.  We know that every knee will bow before Him.  We know Him through the our silence. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
