July 12, 2017 – Psalm 65:5-6

You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our Savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. Psalm 65:5-6

These verses speak of our Lord God’s power, and all inclusive love, even to hearing our prayers and answering them in the His way.

The raging oceans with incessant waves of devouring evil are relentless.  Only our Jehovah God can quiet these waves of terror in the hearts of His people.  Silence is a quality our Lord desires….He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

Only when we withdraw from the ‘shouting of the nations’ can we hear our Lord’s voice. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. Psalm 111:10

We stand in awe of your wonders and shout with joy at your unchanging grace and joy.  They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. Psalm 145:5-7.

You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations. Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, You inspire shouts of joy. Psalm 65:7-8
