June 30, 2017 – Psalm 56:13-14
I will fulfill my vows to you, O God, and will offer a sacrifice of thanks for your help. For you have rescued me from death; you have kept my feet from slipping. So now I can walk in your presence, O God, Psalm 56:12-13.
Just as God refreshes our earth with rain during the night, He refreshes my soul after a storm in my life giving new mercies and wonders. He rescues me from slipping into a morass of sin and death.
As I trust Him, I thank Him for rescuing me from a nothingness to the delight of His presence in my life. I hear my Mother’s voice praising God with the words of the Psalmist– Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Psalm 37:4.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11 The legacy of everlasting life comes our Lord God Almighty through Jesus Christ, His One and Only Son.
Is it any wonder that I love Him? I breathe the air He places in my lungs, I live the life He gave me. He makes me beautiful in His Eyes. He gives me purpose and He gives me Hope and Joy. He gives me Love that is higher than the sky and deeper than the ocean. This world can not hold the Love He pours out on you and me.
Each day when I awake, I long for You, Oh, Lord! My every thought and word and deed give You Praise. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Ephesians 1:6-7.
I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 56:4
