June 12, 2017 – Psalm 16:5-6

Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance! Psalm 16:5-6.

The inheritance from our Lord God is priceless and sure.  Each morning my cup of blessing runneth over.  I wake to the new day He has given me.  I wake to the life He has given me to live. I enjoy His inheritance each day with assurance of the glorious day when I will walk through the door of faith and see Him, face to face.

The lyrics from the old hymn describes my days, And He walks with me and He talks with me, and I am His own.   He gives me peace without measure, as I trust Him each day.  The inheritance of faith is the greatest gift parents can give their child.  A legacy of living Faith in Jesus lived each day before our children as they grow up, and those who come after, gives strength to face each day!  This is my inheritance from my parents.  Their living faith pointed me to the blessing of loving Jesus Christ.  Even, as my grandparents also did.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Ephesians 1:3.

I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. Psalm 16:8-9.
