December 27, 2016 – Psalm 30:4

Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.  Psalm 30:4Our Lord God loves to hear from his created ones.  We each have a song.  When we live for Him, our song is His.  Each created being has a song. The wind, the birds, the rainstorms, the frogs, the cows, the horses, and even a donkey.  Can you can name some more ways of singing from the living beings around you? Is your song one of joy you sing to the Lord? You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.  What is mourning.  The ‘U’ in morning makes it sad.  When we cry, we don’t feel like singing or dancing with joy.  But God takes away our clothes of mourning (frowns and tears).  How does He do that?  He gives us clothes of joy and laughter to wear and takes away our tears. Why?  God loves us, and He gives us voices to sing praises to Him.  What do you think of when you wake up and just before you go to sleep?  Did you know that the Bible says to never stop praying.  (Pray without ceasing!)  I used to wonder how to do that.  Someone explained that no matter what happens, we can pray prayers of praise.  Just like we breathe without thinking about it – we can pray and praise God.Does a bird sing while in flight?  How does a bird know where to fly?  How does a bird find food, stay warm or find shelter in a storm? Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Luke 12:22-24Smile!  Rejoice and Praise God who created YOU and loves you!You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!  Psalm 30: 11-12
