Reflection on “His Precious Presence!” February 11, 2025
“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26.
“Precious Presence, we are kneeling, we are kneeling, Wearied of earth’s emptiness: Feed and fill us with your power, As we strive for holiness. Let us walk to gain perfection, More like Christ in every way. Till we stand in joy before You On that great and glorious day. The author is ADS, Anna Daisy Siemens. (My Mother!)
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forever more. Psalm 16:7.
Where does Peace come from? Where can we find it? But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:26-27.
We know that everywhere in the world are temptations to pull us from following Jesus, the Way. Do you feel alone in this world? Do you believe?
Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:31-33.
After Jesus died on the cross, Jesus met with his Disciples and greeted them. So, Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” Both the 19th and the 21st verses of John 20 hold this greeting. Even though Jesus knew Peter denied him 3 times while being sacrificed. He knew it was God’s will that Jesus die on the cross.
How can we show that we believe in Jesus? Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:1-3. The last two verses of this Psalm underline the importance of how we can show we are His and believe.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5.
Have you ever wondered how to forget God and His Son, Jesus? Ignore them? After all, you didn’t ask for them in your life. What is, is! Go back to Genesis 1 and we read these verses that make the reality of truth real! In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1.
So, God created man in His own image; in the image of God as He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27.
The last book of the Bible and the next to the last verse, is written: He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly. ”Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Revelation 22:20.
The verses that begin Psalm 139 are these: O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. Psalm 139:1-4.
Is it any wonder that we feel uncomfortable and want to hide from the truth of God, Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. Psalm 139:7-10. The last phrase of this Psalm says – Lead me in the way everlasting.
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For You are our glory and joy. 1 Thessalonians 2:19.-20. Words that hold hands are glory, joy, and peace are of our Lord God and Jesus Christ.
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless. Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:24.
God teaches love, joy, and peace…. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves, is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. I John 4:7-8.
