October 19, 2021 – Isaiah 55:10-11

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my Word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11.

When the rain and snow fall from the sky, it means the seed we plant means food for us. This is a picture of how God’s Word is never given without a purpose.  God’s Word is no empty.

Jesus came to earth, to tell us God’s Word.  Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. John 14:24. When we read or hear God’s Word, we know we hear Truth with which we can discern the untruths of the world.

Our Father in Heaven, open our ears to God’s truth, for it is filled with Light and Life. Fill us with your love so that we sing your praises in Joy. I pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Let those who delight in my righteousness shout for joy and be glad and say evermore, “Great is the Lordwho delights in the welfare of his servant!” Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long.  Psalm 35:27-28.

The Joy of the Lord is my strength! May I remember your goodness and rejoice in the Lord.

“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” Isaiah 55:12
