Psalm-104-3b-4You are dressed in a robe of light.
You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;
you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds.
You make the clouds your chariot;
you ride upon the wings of the wind.
The winds are your messengers;
flames of fire are your servants. Psalm 104:2-4Have you ever wondered about this God that we worship in song, attitude, prayer and His Word?  We want to describe the Lord our God using the senses that we are given.  Our sight, touch, smell, hearing and taste are simply ‘LIKE’ methods of seeing God.  Like the wind, we can only see and hear the effects of wind.   God is a God of Spirit and dwells in our hearts.  We just know He IS.  And that is called faith.When I found this scripture, I pictured the Lord God in the terms that King David used to describe the God he knew.  David felt the need to describe the God He worshiped.  A poet like none other, King David describes God in such a way, that I ‘see’ Him in a finite manner, knowing there is more than I will ever see on this earth.God wears a robe of light – light that we prize so highly here on earth.  But His Light is not of earthly light, there are no lumen measurements for His wattage or for the speed of His Light..  His glory is so brilliant that Moses, in reflection, hid his face from others.Clouds are fascinating as they traverse the sky.  Especially when I consider that God is riding the clouds, riding on the wings of the wind.  He wrapped Himself in a dark clouds to shield the brightness around him..He shrouded himself in darkness,    veiling his approach with dark rain clouds.Thick clouds shielded the brightness around him    and rained down hail and burning coals.  Psalm 18:11-12And the winds are messengers: flames of fire are your servants…as illustrated in Acts 2:1-4…On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.How awesome is our Living God who surrounds us with His care and His love.  Praise be to Him who is Able!You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our Savior.
You are the hope of everyone on earth,
even those who sail on distant seas.
You formed the mountains by your power
and armed yourself with mighty strength.
You quieted the raging oceans
with their pounding waves
and silenced the shouting of the nations. Psalm 65:5-7
