August 6, 2015-Hebrews 11:6

Enoch was carried away from this earth, so he never died. The Scriptures tell us that before he was carried off, he was a man who pleased God. Later, no one knew where he was, because God had taken Enoch to be with him. This all happened because he had faith. Hebrews 11:5Enoch pleased God, he never had to die.  God just swooped him up from the earth into the clouds.  I wondered a lot about all the people that pleased God.  What made them pleasing to God?How do we please God?  What do we have to do?  Have you ever been told to be good?  I have.  I knew in church not to talk, but to listen.  That is being good according to Mom.  I knew to sit still in listen in school.  That is being good according to my teachers.  I knew not to steal or tell a lie.  That is being good.  I knew not to teasing my little brothers.  I knew to keep my face clean and wash my hands before meals.  I knew not to say bad words, that is being good, too.  But what does God want?He wants us to have faith in Him and live for Him because we love Him.  Having faith is more than knowing of God or about God or using his name when we get angry.Faith is trusting God, believing in Him and reading what He tells us in the Bible.  Faith is living like God wants us to live.  He trusts us to be good for Him.  Although we can not see God…no one has seen God.  He is very real. Look into the sky and see the rainbow…God put it there.  He made the whole earth and the sky and the seas.  Everywhere we look we see what God has made.God gives us a reward at the end of life when we have faith in Him.  The reward is that we will have new bodies and live with him forever.  We won’t ever cry or hurt.  We will praise God and be able to see Him and Jesus, too.Do you have faith in God?  Pray and ask God to live in your heart!Without faith no one can please God. Whoever comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who sincerely try to find him. Hebrews 11:6
